The process is carried out in an open drum/bowl, where the bottom rums around and the ring(side wall) itself is static.
In the middle of the gap between the bottom disc and the ceramic ring (both made of hard PU), a ceramic ring is mounted on the casing itself, means that the gap during operation is as low as 0.1 mm.

This means that the machine is extremely suitable for polishing e.g. jewellery and very thin items/parts.
